Good Friends, Food and Fun! As a break from our normal Bible study, the singles went to one of its Life Group member’s homes for a Hawaiian Luau. Bonnie Regnier greeted us with a lei and a flower for the women’s hair. We then competed in various competitions.
First was our attempt to quickly chew some gum and blow the biggest bubble. I made it into the finals, but failed on my final try as it blew up on my face. One of the kids won first place and I came in second.
Our second feat was Ball-in-a-Cup. Tom Rivers blew us all away with 4 perfect catches. In the 3rd and final challenge we did the Hoola Hoop. There are just some things that a body is not able to do (or shouldn’t try to do). Here again Tom Rivers held his own, but in the end he was out lasted by the kids. We all had a wonderful time.
Another good time was had at our Cinco De Mayo/Game Night. Everyone brought some of their favorite Mexican food to share and we played games accompanied by much laughter. Lori Jo Smith
