Extra, extra read all about it!!! Trinity has gone worldwide on the wide world of the web!  We are now live web casting The Current service every week at 10:45am. What exactly IS a "web-cast" you ask? Well, first of all it has nothing to do with Spiderman or Fly-fishing.

In fact a live webcast is similar to a live television broadcast but instead of needing a bulky TV and ugly antenna to watch it, all you need is a computer and internet access!  So, Next time there is a severe blizzard in Mesa that keeps you homebound on Sunday until the snowplows get to your street, rest easy because you can join the service online.  Simply type in tbcmesa.com to your browser and click on "live webcast."

Or just click now to check it out! Then, sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the worship and teaching.  Remember, just like a TV broadcast the video is live in real time so if you're going to join in make sure to start your connection a few minutes early!  At the end of each service we'll post the video online and archive the past few weeks so that you can go back and watch them later.

So what does this all mean for Trinity?  Are we destined to become a slick televangelist ministry with shiny suits and shinier hair?  Should you expect to see your pastors driving up in a stretch hummer limo next week?  Well, maybe, but more importantly, this new ministry gives us a chance to connect and care for more people than ever. For those who are home-bound by illness or circumstances it allows them to experience worship and teaching every week. For those who are out of town it allows them to stay connected to the life of the church. Even for those who are in other countries for business or vacation or missions it allows them a window into the amazing things God is doing here at Trinity!  Besides, as far as I'm concerned, it has a "coolness" factor that is just plain fun!

Just a few words of caution. Now that we have this webcast running doesn't mean you should skip church and watch the service in your pajamas! There's no substitute for a hug and a friendly smile!  Also, the service we are using is free so when you open the page to watch the service there will be a 20-30 second advertisement. We are working on getting rid of this but there is a cost associated with removing the ads. For now, just know that Trinity doesn't endorse any of the products advertised.

If you think this new ministry sounds exciting and you'd like to be involved, we are looking for volunteers to help set up and run the webcast about once a month. Right now we are only doing The Current service but if we have enough interest and volunteers we'll add the Classic as well.
